A big facility with a lot to offer. A huge pool with various classes. Weight room, exercise room, kids activities, etc. However, before you even get into the building...beware. The entrance area is horrific. Loose gravel, uneven pavement, it's a hazard for able-bodied people let alone anyone with mobility issues. If you require a cabe, walker, or just have walking issues, please use EXTRA CAUTION.

I had a very disappointing experience at this place . The staff and lifeguards came across as unprofessional and overly controlling, which made the environment feel unwelcoming. Customer service could definitely be improved, as interactions with guests did not feel respectful or friendly. In addition, if you are planning to come here to swim, I would not recommend it, as the lanes are often occupied. The gym area is also limited, with only a few machines available, which makes it less useful for those looking to train. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations.

The pool is nice for lap swimming but the overall experience at this facility is a nightmare, hence the 1-star review. Why, you ask? There are theft issues, poop in the shower, a tiny, cramped sauna, and the usual entitled mothers who bring their overage boys into the women’s locker room. Opposite sex children are allowed in the locker rooms up to age six, which is too old to begin with, but the mothers push the envelope, bringing older boys into what should be private spaces for women and little girls. I would have a great swim and go to rinse off and never know what would happen in that locker room. To top it off, management will blame the member for bringing the 3rd world conditions to his attention. Highly dysfunctional and poorly managed!

Audrey Moore Rec Center is great and there is a lot of stuff to do in both the Rec center & on the grounds- Exp. Hiking trails, biking trails, tennis courts, baseball fields. basketball courts, skateboarding, rollerskating) I gave it only 4 stars because as of March 2026 the pool area (Especially the seating/bleachers in the pool area) there are a lot of roaches. A place can be a lot of fun, but the pool area needs to be maintained for better cleanliness, because the last thing I want to do is go swimming and come home with roaches🪳🪳🪳- Please do better AMRC, we need this rec center to keep going and offering fun for generations to come!

Audrey Moore Rec Center is a Fairfax County facility and it is an older facility but they have everything you could ever think of. Outside, there is baseball & softball fields, basketball courts, soccer fields (turf) a skate park, & several walking or biking trails. Inside, they have a full-size swimming pool & diving well with both spring boards and platforms, there are racquetball courts, a gym, and studios for all kinds of classes like yoga, as well as a physical therapy office through INOVA. I have been here many times for my son’s soccer & swim team practice as well as just coming to play and have fun. Personally, I have been here for yoga classes as well as PT including aquatic PT. You can purchase a class pass or pay a one day fee or you sign up for a wide variety of classes offered year round. On Wednesdays they have a local farmers market out in the parking lot. They also have county recycling bins, which I have used recently for glass. Note: as expected there’s a heavy chlorine smell in the pool area so if you’re sensitive before warned.
